Chilling home security video shows a man in a hazmat suit fleeing the home of a murdered Holocaust survivor on the night she died.
Judy Bednar, 78, was murdered between May 12 and May 15 at her Drinan Road home in the south Melbourne suburb of Chelsea, Victorian police said.
The frightening CCTV clip obtained by The Herald Sun shows an unidentified man, covered in a head-to-toe white suit, walking away from Ms Bednar's front door on Thursday, March 13 – inside the timeframe police nominated.
Her 53-year-old son Thomas Bednar, who reportedly has schizophrenia, has been charged with her murder.
Locals became concerned about Ms Bednar's welfare when they hadn't seen her in several days.
Her body was discovered in her home at 10.30am on Saturday, May 15.
Ms Bednar grew up in Hungary but fled during World War II to escape the Nazi regime. Her father and other family members had been imprisoned in concentration camps.
